Nomad Technologies has designed four lines of Turn-Key Multimedia Systems to flexibly meet the varied evidence presentation needs of Courtrooms. These all-in-one presentation systems integrate a wide variety of presentation equipment and were designed for use in courtrooms through permanent or mobile audiovisual installations. The option to configure a system according to your specific needs is also available. The four lines of fully integrated presentation systems include:
PD Series Multimedia Podiums—slim line with standard monitors (mobile and permanent models available)
LT Series Multimedia Podiums—with wide screen monitors (permanent but moveable)
ADA Series Height Adjustable Multimedia Podiums (ADA Compliant) (permanent and moveable models)
PS Series Presentation Stations (mobile models only)
Typical audiovisual components that are integrated into the various lines of Turn-Key Presentation Systems highlighted above include (but are not limited to):
- A Control System, which makes the entire Presentation System easy to use.
- LCD Projector (typically mounted in ceiling and connects to system with 1 CAT5 cable) or connections to Flat Panel Monitors.
- VCR/DVD Combo Player
- Laptop connection
- PC (optional)
- RF Keyboard & RF Mouse
- Plain Monitor or Touch Screen Monitor
- Document Camera---so that any object or paper in its native form (like 3 dimensional objects) can be projected onto a large screen. No digitizing of evidence material is needed. Just lay object, paper or evidence material under Document Camera.
- Bose Multimedia Sound System (accommodates room up to 250 people)
- Microphone (wireless or permanently built in)
Court Room options Available to Evidence presentation systems include:
Judge Preview Functions- A 15” monitor is provided and connected via standard Cat5 wiring and allows the Judge to preview evidence prepared with the Nomad Presentation Station.
Judge Override Functions- This function allows the Judge to control what is seen & heard on monitors throughout the courtroom. Through the touch of one button on a Touch Panel Monitor, the Judge can mute or activate the audio and video output to specific zones in the courtroom.
Annotation- Annotation allows the Attorney to touch the screen with his/her finger to draw lines and highlight information on the displayed image. This feature is similar to that used by John Madden during football games for illustrating action on still images.
Remote Witness Annotation-The witness area can be optionally equipped with a 15" touch screen monitor. The monitor is attached with a single Cat 5 wire that runs back to the Nomad Presentation Station. The witness can annotate using his/her finger to draw attention to specific areas of presented evidence images or to demonstrate movement. (i.e. My car was moving in this direction. Their car was moving in this direction, etc.)
Zone Control of Courtroom Monitors-The Advance Control System in the Nomad unit can be upgraded to have the ability to control zones of monitors throughout the Courtroom. Key zones that often have monitors to be controlled include: Jury area; Judge’s box; Trial Table and Witness Box. With the proper options selected, up to four zones can be controlled with a one-wire connection to the Nomad Presentation Station.
Video Conferencing or Video Arraignment- Nomad Technologies offers free phone consultation with a lead Video Conferencing Engineer. Every court is different in design, layout and cabling requirements. After discussing your vision and unique court design, layout and cabling requirements, our Video Conferencing Engineer will make cost effective recommendations for:
- System design within your existing infrastructure

All models are on GSA contract. Nomad Technologies’ GSA contract number is GS-07F-0081N.
